The no-deposit hitting before KYC is done is the weird bit for me too. Most places I play want the ID check cleared before they'll even dangle a freebie, so getting the offer upfront feels backwards. Could be handy for testing the lobby, could also mean the terms are rougher than they look.

No dumb question at all, Harry. The rollover is just how many times you have to turn the bonus money over before it becomes real withdrawable cash. Say they hand you a no-deposit freebie and the fine print says 40x, that means the bonus (or winnings from spins, depending how they word it) has to be wagered 40 times through before anything frees up. And yes, if free spins count half toward that, your money counts 50 cents of every dollar you spin, so you end up spinning a lot longer before the meter fills. I turned 50 into 5k once back in the day and still couldn't touch it till I'd ground through a rollover like that. Greed eats the bonus, patience feeds it 😄 Read the terms before you take it, that's where they usually hide the game weighting too, cause table games often count little or nothing.Busted more than you've deposited 😉
