Is the High 5 Casino cashback worth it for Canadians

High 5 Casino
Been grinding the High 5 sweepstakes setup for a bit and the cashback angle is weird to weigh, since you're playing promo coins instead of deposits. Anyone here actually cleared it and turned a profit, or is it one of those things that never hits like a real cashback would? 🎰

Funny how sweepstakes cashback messes with the usual math, eh. The way I look at it, a normal cashback offsets part of your house edge, so the EV is at least calculable. With High 5 you're playing promo coins, so the "loss" you're getting money back on isn't really your own C$ in the same sense, and the whole value question shifts to what the cashback actually converts into and whether you'd have played there anyway. Depends on the volatility of whatever you're spinning too, since a high-variance title can eat through the promo balance long before the cashback period even closes. One thing I'd flag: RTP is long-run, not one session, and on a small spin sample any cashback feels either like a gift or like nothing at all. My honest take, chase it if you're already grinding their slots for fun, but I wouldn't treat it like a real deposit-matching edge. BigWin, did the terms you saw say anything about what form the cashback arrives in? That detail would basically decide the whole debate.
    Do the EV, then spin.

  • dave's got it right, the math on sweepstakes cashback is basically a guessing game since you never really "lose" money the usual way, you just burn through promo coins. i chased it a few weeks ago and it felt like being paid in casino chips you can't cash at the cage. anyone know if their coins even convert back to sweeps coins on a cashback, or is it just more play-money? ah well, we grind on 😉
I remember the old slots first-hand.

  • Honest question, is sweepstakes cashback even the same thing when you never deposited real money to lose? Feels like chasing promo coin refunds 😅

  • TimsRun asked the right question and nobody really answered it 😄 if you never lose a dollar, what exactly is the cashback refunding you, good vibes? dave, I've seen bigger hits than that from plain old deposit cashback, at least there you know what came back. I'd want to see what these promo coin refunds are even worth before calling it worth chasing.
Been grinding longer than some have played.

  • I've cleared enough promo-coin cashback to say it refunds your grind, not your wallet 🔥 If you were hunting bonuses anyway, free coins back beats nothing.
Cashing out in time is half the battle.

  • yyz says the cashback refunds your grind, and i'd push back a bit, because if you were spinning promo coins for free anyway, what grind did you pay for exactly? the old slots hit different, sure, but this feels like a pat on the head dressed up as a rebate 😄 i'd rather see what the actual terms say before anyone gives'r on it
Busted more than you've deposited 😉

  • YYZ kind of has it right from my side. I grind sweeps promos anyway, so anything that puts coins back in my balance is just extra ammo for chasing a bonus round, same logic as stacking free spins on top of a welcome offer 💸 Nobody's pretending it refunds real C$, it's padding for the session, and if you skip it you're just spinning with a thinner bankroll.

  • Saskatoon said the quiet part himself, nobody's pretending it's real C$ back 😏 so what are we even arguing about here? "Refunds your grind" is a nice line, YYZ, but the grind cost you zero deposits to begin with. Word is the promo coin cashback there mostly benefits whoever was spinning anyway, so it's padding dressed up as a rebate 🤫 That said, I get it. Free coins back means more shots at a bonus round on whatever's heating up, and that's never dead weight. But let's not call it cashback like it sits next to a proper deposit rebate. Those who know, know the difference. I'll keep chasing it for the extra ammo, eyes open, no illusions about my wallet.

  • Free coins back on coins you spun for free? I'll take the ammo, but I don't call it cashback. Bankroll discipline wins, chase real wagering offers first 💸

@RoyalZone you basically said it, calling it cashback is marketing dressing on what's really a daily coin drip. Where I'd nuance it: even as "ammo" it depends on the volatility of whatever you're feeding it into. I keep a sheet on these sweeps titles and the coin return gets eaten fast on the high variance ones, so that extra padding can evaporate in twenty spins without ever touching a feature. On a low volatility slot with a decent hit rate, same padding stretches and actually gives you session length. So worth it? Depends what you spin it on, which is exactly why I don't treat it as a flat benefit. Real cashable offers first, sure, then this as filler if you're playing anyway. Beauty of free coins is you can't get tilted over losing them.

  • Seriously @RoyalZone you sound like a textbook banker, lol. I guess I'm just happy for the free ammo when I don't have enough C$ left to buy my own spin. 😂😂
    One more spin, promise.

I'm totally noob here and I'm trying to follow this whole volatility thing you mentioned @RtpLieSurvivor. So if this coin drip thing depends on the volatility of the game, does that mean I should only feed it into super low risk slots to make the most of the bonus? Thanks for helping me navigate all these rules, go easy on me! 🙏

@Vancouver_87 total noob here too so take this with a grain of salt 😅 I think it's more that high volatility games burn free coins fast, so you spin longer on the chill ones?
    New here, soaking it up.
