Golden Star Casino wagering math made me double-check my own math
Funny timing. I was doing almost the same exercise last week with a rollover tracker sheet I keep, and the balance decrement never quite matched what I expected per spin.
The usual suspects, in order of likelihood: game weighting (table games and some slots counting at a fraction), bonus vs cash balance being wagered in split proportions so each spin only chips a partial amount off the requirement, and free spins winnings being added to the bonus balance mid-rollover, which inflates the target right when you think you're close. On a small spin sample it looks like the counter is "broken" when really it's just weighting doing its thing quietly.
Post the actual sequence - deposit, bonus credited, game you played, and how the requirement moved per session, and I'll run the EV on it. Keen to see whether your numbers behave like a weighting issue or something weirder. Anyone else from Canada noticed the countdown jumping in odd increments on this one?

Yeah exactly that 😅 game weighting means each bet only counts a percentage toward the rollover depending on the game. Like if a slot counts 100% then a C$1 spin clears C$1 of wagering, but some slots or table games might only count 10% or even 0%, so your C$1 spin barely moves the bar. That could be why your numbers looked weird too, OP. Worth checking which games are weighted low before you grind the bonus 🎰Learn something new about casinos every day.

My rule now: before I even deposit, I screenshot the weights page and the terms, because "the page changed" is the oldest excuse in the book when a withdrawal gets stuck. I did a similar push on a Golden Star reload once, chased the big hit on high variance, ate through most of the bonus balance, then had to grind the last chunk of rollover on a low-bet 100% weighter just to save the cashout. Cleared it with scraps left 😭 Lesson stuck with me: put maybe 70% of the bonus on the volatile stuff while the wagering's fresh, keep the rest on a flat small-bet spinner so the requirement ticks down even when the slot goes cold.
