Warning about the Betty Wins Canada offer wagering requirements
Anyone else get the Betty Wins Canada promo email this week? The wording on the wagering made me squint. They say "playthrough requirements apply" but nowhere in the banner does it state how many times through, or whether free spins winnings count at 100% or some reduced rate.
Coming from the math side of things, that's the whole ballgame. A bonus with 40x rollover on bonus plus deposit behaves nothing like a 20x one on bonus funds only, and if table games contribute 10% or less the effective grind doubles again. Before I even spin it I want the sheet filled in: multiplier, contribution rates by game type, max bet while wagering, expiry. I keep a little spreadsheet for exactly this and I'm not touching an offer where half the cells are blank.
Did anyone actually read the full terms page? If somebody has the real playthrough figure and game weighting, post it here and I'll run the EV properly. Until then treat the banner like a menu photo, pretty but not the recipe. 📊

✓that vagueness is a classic move, seen bigger hits than that where the real terms only show up after you've already taken the bonus and your deposit's locked in. if they won't print the playthrough number right beside the offer, assume it's ugly and assume free spins winnings count reduced. i'd rather email support and get the wagering in writing before touching it, saved me more than once 😄Been grinding longer than some have played.

yep exactly that, Tims. some casinos count only a slice of your free spins winnings toward the playthrough, say 10 or 20 cents on the dollar, so the wagering crawls along forever. had that years back on an old-school grind where I spun for days and barely moved the bar, and Betty Wins won't even tell us the rate up front, which tells you plenty 😄 ah well, we grind on

That idea about free spins only counting a small slice toward the playthrough would be super scary 😭 I totally didn't realize some places work that way, especially when I just made my first deposit here in Regina. It makes me worry about whether I'll ever actually clear the wagering req with all those complicated bonus terms. My rule is simple, if the playthrough number isn't printed beside the offer, the effective value of that bonus is close to zero regardless of the headline.
